Florida Lothringer 13
FLORIDA is an artistic collective that places artistic production in collective and collaborative contexts at its center, rather than representation. Its projects take place in a decentralized manner at various locations, in cooperation with changing partners and within supportive, solidaristic spaces.
At the same time, FLORIDA engages with a range of questions and continues to evolve in a playful way. The collective repeatedly dissolves and re-forms, including in geographically wide-reaching collaborations.
The FLORIDA Magazine appears as an autonomous medium beyond its spaces on Lothringer Straße, functioning both as a distinct form of dialogue and as an exhibition format. It has been published annually since October 2014.
FLORIDA is the successor organization to Lothringer13_laden, which vacated its original storefront premises in June 2014 as part of the restructuring of the Lothringer13 site. FLORIDA does not realize classical exhibitions, but instead presents artistic processes and productions.
